March 2026

“Grant, O merciful God, that I may ardently desire, prudently examine, truthfully acknowledge, and perfectly accomplish what is pleasing to You, for the praise and glory of Your Name. Amen.
~ St. Thomas Aquinas – patron of students.

The Catholic Student Association (CSA) is a community of faith and caring; interested in growing and practicing our Catholic faith. We are here to support students on campus who want to keep active in their faith and become active in our local Catholic Community. Refer to this page for meetings and mass times on campus, and upcoming events in the Diocese of Fairbanks.

Knights of Columbus Annual Fish Fry is held on Friday, March 8th, between 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Monroe Catholic School. Stations of the Cross will be held in Holy Family Chapel at 5:30 PM.

Young Adult Game Night this Sunday, March 15th, at 6:30 PM at Sacred Heart Cathedral downstairs in the Social Room. Come join other young folks for fun with board games and snacks!

CSA Campus Mass: Tuesdays at Upper Lola Tilly – Mass at 7:15PM, followed by meeting at 7:45 PM.  During Spring Break there will be no mass or meetings. Fairbanks Diocesan priests will be in Anchorage for their annual Priest Convocation with their brother priests from the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau.

Join us others at the Java Hut, 12:30 PM on Fridays, with Michael Olsta, Director of Faith and Family Formation for the Diocese of Fairbanks, and other members of CSA to visit and exchange ideas or ask questions.

If you are in town during Spring Break, make an effort to attend Chrism Mass on Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Cathedral. This is a special mass held once a year during Lent where the Bishop blesses the sacramental oils that are used in churches during the liturgical year and priests from around the Diocese renew their commitment to their priestly vows. Lay people present recommit themselves to the service of God and others. There will be a reception afterwards with light desserts and fruit selections. All are welcome.
